Punjab Weather Update: Yellow alert issued in these districts; mercury to soar in some parts

Despite the forecast of rain during the last 24 hours, the rain fell very little, after which an increase of about 0.9 degrees has been observed in the average temperature of Punjab.

The mercury is soaring in Punjab. However, amid the soaring temperature people have got some relief due to rain in many places of Punjab. The effect of western disturbance can be seen decreasing in Punjab. With severe heat and long power curs, difficulties of the people are not looking ending.

After a few days of relief, temperatures are expected to rise once again. According to the Meteorological Department, this heat wave will again gain strength in most areas of Punjab by June 12.

Today 6 districts of Malwa, Ferozepur, Fazilka, Muktsar, Faridkot, Moga and Bathinda are expected to experience rain and storm. Yellow alert has been issued in the above 6 districts of Punjab.

The people of the city will have to bear the heat for a few more days. However, after the recent storm and light rain, the city has been seeing a drop in temperature for a week. Now some parts of the city may face hot winds due to rising temperature again.

The temperature may go up to 44 degrees in the coming days. The department has alerted that hot winds will also blow in some places.
