Farmers from Shahkot to leave for Shambhu border on this date; demand reinstatement of CISF Constable

Jalandhar: In a meeting held by farmers in Shahkot town of Jalandhar , it has been decided that they farmers will leave for Shambhu border on June 20 once again. Farmer leader Jasbir Singh Piddi said that the meeting was held in a Gurudwara Sahib in Shahkot. The meeting mainly discussed the use of funds given by the people and the strategy ahead for farmers protest.

Jasbir Singh Piddi said that there has also been a discussion about the preparations to make the ongoing farmers’ protest at Shambhu border more strong. Piddi added on June 20, various groups from Jalandhar and surrounding districts will again leave for Shambhu border in order to strengthen the protest of farmers. “The protest will continue till the central government accepts our demands”, he added.

Farmer leader Salvinder Singh said that almost four months have passed since the joint protest at Shambhu border and the farmers are running the front very efficiently while facing all kinds of difficulties.

Farmers furious over Kangana Ranaut slap case
Reacting on the slap row associated with actress turned politician and now a MP Kangana Ranaut, Farmer leaders said that the action taken against the daughter of Punjab, Kulwinder Kaur who slapped Kangana Ranaut, was wrong.

Defending Kulwinder Kaur, farmers said that Kangana first said objectionable things to Kulwinder Kaur after which Kulwinder Kaur did this. Farmers have demanded that Kulwinder Kaur should be reinstated in the job with immediate effect and the FIR registered should be canceled.
