“False Snatching Claim in Panipat; Youths Claimed Judge’s Brother in HC”

The police have registered a case against the accused under the section on fighting in a public place.

Panipat: In Vadhavaram Colony of Panipat city of Haryana, a youth made a false complaint on the control room number dial 112 about the snatching of 7 lakh rupees. When the police reached the spot, the informant and another youth were fighting among themselves.

When the police caught them, the complainant threatened the police. He said that his brother is a judge in the High Court, and he will take care of them. The police have registered a case against the accused under the section on fighting in a public place.

In the complaint given to the Tehsil Camp police station, Head Constable Devendra said that he was present in Vadhavaram Colony on patrol in a government vehicle along with constable Praveen. Meanwhile, information was received from the control room that two youths have snatched 7 lakh rupees from Vivek Malik, son of Indrapal resident Vijay Nagar.

On receiving the information, the team reached the spot. After reaching there, it was seen that Vivek Malik and Rajkumar were fighting among themselves in the street in a drunken state. Both of them were fighting. There was a crowd of people standing around them. The police stopped them and questioned them.

During the interrogation, Vivek Malik said that he had given false information. The police caught both of them and started taking them to the police station. During this, Vivek threatened the police that his brother is a judge in the High Court and he would take care of them.
