Rs 2.5 lac steals of Retired soldiers

Retired soldier Atar Singh, a resident of village Surjan Vas, told the police in his complaint that he had withdrawn 2 lakh 50 thousand rupees from PNB.

Mahendragarh: A case of snatching 2 lakh 50 thousand rupees from a retired soldier has come to light in Mahendragarh, Haryana. The person was going to deposit money in another bank after withdrawing it from one bank. During this, the miscreants who were chasing him snatched the polythene containing the money and ran away. The city police station has registered a case against unknown persons and started an investigation.

Retired soldier Atar Singh, a resident of village Surjan Vas, told the police in his complaint that he had withdrawn 2 lakh 50 thousand rupees from Punjab National Bank Mahendragarh, located on Cinema Road, on June 15. After that, he went to SBI Bank at Rao Tularam Chowk to deposit the money. He reached Yadav Dharamshala near the Bus Stand Road PWD office and bought some goods there.

Atar Singh said that after this, he started driving his bike slowly because there was a crowd there. During this time, a young man of about 14 years and a person came there. The youth took out 2 lakh 50 thousand rupees kept in a polythene bag in a cloth bag from the moving bike and ran away. There were 6 FDs, 1 passbook, and 2 checkbooks in that polythene. The miscreants stole them too.

Atar Singh told us that he immediately called 112 and informed us about the incident. The police vehicle reached the spot and started action. The youth and the person were searched nearby, but no trace of them was found anywhere.
