Bhiwani: In this scorching heat, four friends in Bhiwani, Haryana, went to take a bath and drowned in the canal. Three youths were rescued safely from the canal by the people, while one youth died due to drowning. His body was found with great difficulty by divers and taken out of the canal.
His body has been taken to the civil hospital for post-mortem. Action is being taken by the Sadar police station.
Raja, a resident of Raisingh Dhani in Bhiwani, told that he has three brothers. All three brothers are married. He told that his younger brother 27-year-old Rahul had gone to the Dabar canal located at Tosham bypass to bathe with his friends Karan, Sumit and Dinesh on Monday evening without informing the family members. When he did not return home till late evening, the search began. Meanwhile, information was received that Rahul has drowned in the Dabar canal. The family members reached the spot along with the people of the neighborhood.
The friends who went to bathe with him told that Rahul jumped into the canal and did not come out. To find him, Karan, Sumit and Dinesh jumped into the deep water and they also started drowning. These three were saved by other people bathing there.
Divers found Rahul’s body with great difficulty from the canal today. The body was taken out with the help of local people and taken to the civil hospital.
The Sadar police station reached the spot, investigated the incident and got the post-mortem done. The police have registered a case of accidental death.
The deceased’s brother Raja said that his brother Rahul is the father of two children. He used to sell clothes on the footpath.
