Ahead of Jalandhar West Bypoll, BSP Supremo Mayawati calls for an emergency meeting

Jalandhar: Ahead of the Jalandhar West bypolls, that is scheduled to be held on July 10, now Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is also preparing to field its candidate on the Jalandhar West seat.

For the discussion of same, party supremo Mayawati has called a meeting in UP. BSP chief Jasbir Singh Garhi has left to attend the meeting. It is expected that the party will decide in this regard by evening. Party chief Jasvir Garhi himself has shared information about the meeting.

Got less than two thousand votes

Talking about the results of the Jalandhar Lok Sabha elections, the party’s performance in Assembly Constituency West was very poor. The party was able to get less than two thousand votes, while Congress emerged as the largest party in this constituency. The Congress candidate got 44394, BJP 42837, AAP got 15629 votes. However, even after this, the party is preparing to field its candidate.

Jasbir Singh Garhi has informed on his social media account that an emergency meeting has been called regarding Jalandhar West. He will attend the meeting and return to Chandigarh at four in the evening.

After this, information about this will be shared by him. In the Lok Sabha elections, the party had fielded candidates on 13 seats for the first time and not a single candidate managed to win.
