Shimla: Rebellion has started in Himachal Pradesh Congress day after Kamlesh Thakur was announced party candidate from the Dehra assembly constituency. Rebel voices have emerged from within the party. Dr Rajesh Sharma who contested the last election from Dehra has announced to contest the poll as an Independent candidate if he is not given ticket.
As soon as the announcement of the candidate was made, he left disappointed after seeing Kamlesh Thakur’s name. Crying in a meeting of supporters on Wednesday, Rajesh Sharma alleged that CM Sukhu kidnapped him for 9 hours in Oak-Over (CM’s official residence in Shimla). Rajesh Sharma, a doctor by profession, said that even ministers are threatening him.
Dr. Rajesh said that if his children die in Pune or he dies of a heart attack, then Chief Minister Sukhu will be responsible for it. He said that Congress still has time. They should either change the ticket or he will be forced to contest the election as an independent.
On the other hand, CM Sukhu said that the survey conducted in Dehra regarding the candidate which also contained the name of his wife.
He added that on the request of local people and Panchayat Pradhans, the Congress party has decided to field his wife from the Dehra seat. He further added that orders are from the party high command and he can not deny it.
The king should protect the commander, not the queen
Rajesh Sharma on not getting ticket from the Dehra seat said that at this time he was the commander of Dehra. The king’s job is to protect the commander. But Chief Minister Sukhu, instead of protecting the commander, has fielded his queen after getting a political opportunity.
