Chandigarh: In Punjab, people have got relief from heat since yesterday. Along with this, the temperature has now dropped in Punjab and there has been relief from the heat wave. Two days of rain and strong winds in some parts of Punjab have given relief to the people from the scorching heat. After two days of rain, the average temperature in Punjab dropped to 6.4 degrees, which was 2.7 degrees below normal.
According to the Meteorological Department, it is being said that people will see another rise in temperature from today. However, the weather department had predicted that the weather would remain normal for the next two days.
The Meteorological Department has not issued any alert on June 21 and 22 in Punjab, according to which there will be neither heat wave nor high temperature rise in Punjab. The increase is expected to normalize starting today.
Some cities may record temperatures close to 42 degrees. In fact, yesterday, the Meteorological Department had predicted strong winds and rain in many parts of Punjab, but there was only light rain, but a drop in temperature has been recorded.
Rain in some parts of Punjab
According to the data released by the Meteorological Department, 5 mm of rain was recorded in Amritsar, 3.5 mm in Fazilka, 1 mm in Moga and 1 mm in Bathinda till last evening. While the maximum temperature of every city saw a drop of 4 to 9 degrees. While the highest temperature was recorded in Gurdaspur at 41 degrees.
