The Election Commission has written a letter to the CEOs of Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Jammu and Kashmir besides Haryana to start the process of updating the voter list. Actually, assembly elections in Haryana are likely in October. Apart from political parties, now the Election Commission has also started preparations.

Publication of final voter list by August 20

According to the Election Commission, as per the schedule, the final voter list will be published by August 20. The cut-off date for enrollment as a voter in Haryana, Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir will be July 1.

Training for officials

Apart from SSR, the Election Commission will also organize training for officials of the electoral states in Delhi this week. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar had said earlier this month that the Election Commission will start the process of conducting elections very soon.

Elections are proposed in these states

Actually, this year assembly elections are proposed in Delhi, Haryana, Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir. The Election Commission has been working on this for a long time.

The Commission said that those who want to get their name added to the voter list or want to correct the mistake can submit their application. At the same time, the Election Commission has also started the process of conducting 47 by-elections to be held across the country.
