Mercedes buses in Haryana, government buy 1,168 buses, including AC and non-AC

These include 500 non-AC buses and 150 HVAC buses.

Chandigarh: The journey of the people of Haryana is going to be pleasant soon. Haryana Roadways has completed the tender process for the purchase of 650 new buses. These include 500 non-AC buses and 150 HVAC buses. After the purchase of these buses, the department will soon start the purchase process of 518 other new buses, and there is a plan to buy 500 HVAC buses.

18 luxury buses will be purchased. Currently, the Transport Department has 6 Volvo buses, 12 Mercedes, 153 HVAC, 3 CNG, 10 Simi low-floor buses, 278 minibuses, and 3203 plain buses. 1168 new buses will be included in this fleet of the Transport Department.

Currently, there are a total of 4227 buses in the fleet of the Transport Department. Of these, 562 buses are included under the kilometre scheme. After the government purchases 1168 new buses, the fleet of the transport department will increase to 5,395 buses.

In fact, on the instructions of Transport Minister Aseem Goyal, the Haryana Transport Department has given instructions to start a campaign to clean the toilets of all the bus stands and depots in the state. Under this, the Transport Department will first improve the toilets of the main bus stands in six districts of the state.

Even before that, the toilets of these bus stands will be inspected, for which a team of officers has been formed at the headquarters level, which will find out the shortcomings in collaboration with the team at the district level.

A private company has been hired by the Haryana Transport Department, which will tell its plan in the matter of cleaning the toilets. This work is going on at war footing after the instructions of Transport Minister Aseem Goyal.

The inspection team will complete its work in about a week. After this, the work of cleaning the toilets on the bus stand will be completed. In the first phase, the work of improving the toilets of bus stands in some districts will be started after inspection. After this, in the next phase, the toilets of the bus stand in other districts will be taken up.
