Mumbai: Actress Amandeep Sidhu, who was seen in many TV shows, is now busy with the ‘Badal Pe Paon Hai’ TV show. She is playing the role of an ambitious girl who hails from a small village but wants to move to the city and live a successful life. Talking about her show, Amandeep says that she wants to live a king-size life like that of Shah Rukh Khan. She also talks about her dreams.
In an interview she was asked about her show, ‘Badal Pe Paon Hai’, she answered, “Definitely my role is that Bani wants to achieve something bigger in her life. I was sitting free in Mumbai after the TV show ‘Saubhagyavati’. I received a call, and when I heard for the first time about the character, my first reaction was, ‘How can we show a heroine too greedy?”. Then they said it’s the main point of the show. We are going to be very real in the show. The demands and actual needs of a girl are to be revealed in the show. I don’t think that any previous show might have gone this real ever. The specialty of Bani is that she is not shy. Whatever she wants, she will get it anyway. She does not want to compromise with her life.”
About the character’s qualities and needs in life, she said, “Bani hails from a small village in Punjab. However, she dreams high. Her society cannot accept her dreams. The approach to her dreams is very high. If I see myself, I am like Bani only, but a village girl cannot be like Bani. She loves her family. She is a swagger but has a pure heart. She can do anything for her family to provide them happiness. She is greedy. In fact, I will say that Bani’s story relates to me. I also want to have a lot of achievements in my life, so I chose to be an actor. I am fearless. I am not performing the role; I am actually feeling the character in real life. I have not enjoyed any character to the extent to which I am enjoying this character.”
About her goals in life, she said, “I just want a successful life. For now, I don’t have any dream roles. My only goal is to make my family feel happy every time. Else, what I wanted to be, I am.”
When she asked about the commitment to her ongoing show, she said, “Definitely, I will not leave this character. I am honest with my work. It does not matter how big the project is; I will stand by my commitment first. Otherwise, if I wish to do any project, I will choose a love story because I like romantic genres.”
She was asked if she would leave the show if she got”the chance to work with Shah Rukh. She answered, “If it happens, then I will manage to get some time from the director and producer of the show, but I will never let go of the chance to work with Shah Rukh. But for now, I don’t want to leave the character of Bani and the show. I will manage the time.”
