A case of cheating in the name of sending abroad has come to light. In a series of such fraudulent incidents, an immigration company running at Phase Eight B, industrial area of Mohali duped residents of Nepal on pretext of sending them abroad.
A complaint was registered against said immigration company by Chet Narayan, a resident of Nepal.
Chet Narayan, a resident of Nepal, said in the complaint that he and his two other friends had given 10.85 lakh rupees to a person named Akash to go to Canada.
But even after the passage of two months, neither they were sent abroad nor their money was returned to them. When they tried to contact or meet Akash, there was no response from him.
FIR has been registered against the immigration company and said the accused. Police have initiated the investigation and trying to nab the accused.
