25 lakhs looted from ATM in Kapurthala; people demanded to increase police patrolling

Thieves targeted an SBI ATM in Phagwara subdivision of Kapurthala district of Punjab and looted cash worth 25.27 lakhs and fled. After getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot and started investigation. On the other hand, SP Phagwara Rupinder Bhatti has claimed that the thieves will be caught soon.

Kapurthala: Thieves targeted an SBI ATM in Phagwara subdivision of Kapurthala district of Punjab and looted cash worth 25.27 lakhs and fled. After getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot and started investigation. On the other hand, SP Phagwara Rupinder Bhatti has claimed that the thieves will be caught soon.

Lakhs looted from ATM

Unknown thieves targeted SBI ATM located on Palahi Road in Phagwara city and fled from the spot with cash. According to the information received on the spot, the thieves carried out this incident by cutting the ATM with a gas cutter. It is being told that the thieves have stolen 25.27 lakh rupees kept in the ATM. On getting the information, SP Phagwara Rupinder Kaur Bhatti reached the spot with the police team and started investigation. CCTV cameras installed near the spot are being scanned.

People demanded to increase police patrolling

Let us tell you that a day before, two miscreants on a bike robbed a tyre shop owner at Sugar Mill Chowk at the strength of sharp weapons. No person has been arrested in this case till now. On the other hand, an ATM incident has come to light. People have demanded from the police administration that patrolling should be increased in the city so that incidents of theft and robbery can be controlled.
