Fire breaks out in running oil tanker in Haryana

Driver saves his life by jumping out of the tanker in Hisar; major accident averted as flames did not reach the oil. 

Hisar: An oil tanker caught fire near Cantt in Hisar, Haryana. Driver Rakesh showed presence of mind and saved his life by jumping out of the tanker. Seeing the flames, a crowd gathered on the national highway.

After getting the information, the fire brigade vehicle reached the spot and controlled the fire. Thankfully, a major accident was averted.

Driver Rakesh told me that the tanker contained oil used in road construction. He was taking it from Bathinda to Bahadurgarh. On Saturday, he left with the tanker from Bathinda. In the evening, he slept at a hotel near Hisar Cantt. On Sunday morning, when he left with the tanker from the hotel, after going some distance, a short circuit in the cabin caught fire.

Driver Rakesh said that after this, he parked the tanker on the roadside. He jumped out of the cabin amidst the flames. After this, he called the fire brigade and informed them about the fire. A crowd of people and drivers of vehicles passing by gathered at the spot. The fire brigade reached the spot and controlled the fire. The tanker cabin was completely burned due to the fire.

Driver Rakesh said that the tanker contained oil used for road construction. It was being taken to Bahadurgarh. The cabin was completely burned due to the fire in the tanker. The fire was controlled before it reached the oil-filled tanker.
