Ferozepur: In a successful operation Border Security Force (BSF) troop have recovered heroine and apprehended two smugglers. BSF officials said that, on receiving a specific input, of a Pakistani drone that violated the International Boundary (IB) and dropped narcotics, BSF troops reached the spot to prevent smugglers to collect the consignment.
However, two smugglers who were hiding nearby to collect the consignment took the packets and attempted to flee on their Tractor. They were chased by BSF troops and were apprehended. Upon searching, two packets of heroin weighing 1 kg in total were recovered from them near the village Bhanewala District Ferozepur.
Both individuals have aged 27 and 50, are residents of village Chandiwala District Ferozepur arrested. Further investigation to trace their forward and backward linkages is ongoing. BSF officials said that this successful operation underscores the BSF’s commitment to apprehending smugglers and ensuring a drug-free Punjab.
