Central government allocates Rs 1811 crore boost for Hisar airport major infrastructure investment

Hisar: The central government has released Rs 1181 crore for Haryana’s first airport. An integrated marketing cluster will be developed here on 2988 acres of land, and out of these, a world port and mega cargo port will be established on 1300 acres of land. Civil Aviation Minister Dr Kamal Gupta gave this information.

Dr. Kamal Gupta said that the integrated marketing cluster will be purely defence and aerospace-focused. The big companies in the world will be invited to set up industries in it. The National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC) has accepted the proposal given by the Haryana government for industrial development.

NICDC has given Rs 1811 crore to the Haryana government as equity of the central government. As a result, Maharaja Agrasen Airport will have a distinct identity in the international market. The action plan for the next 30 years has been prepared for Hisar Airport. The construction work at Hisar Airport is going on on 7200 acres of land.

Dr. Gupta said that the US Trade and Development Agency will provide technical and financial assistance to build an integrated aviation hub. This will increase the facilities for bringing and sending goods to the airport.

This aviation hub will strengthen the supply system by increasing the country’s exports. Out of the three phases of the airport, two phases have been completed.

Maharaja Agrasen Airport Protocol Officer Satyapal Arya said that the work of building a 10,000-foot runway, CAT Eye for night facility, ATC tower building for traffic control of airplanes, GSC area, PTT, Link Taxi, apron for parking aircraft, fuel room, basic spit parameter road, and rainy drone has been completed at Maharaja Agrasen Airport Hisar. The old terminal has been expanded to a capacity of 150 people.
