Haryana: Car caught fire after colliding with truck; 3 youths sitting inside burnt alive; 4th severely burnt

A car caught fire after colliding with a truck on National Highway 152D in Kurukshetra, Haryana. 3 youths in the car were burnt alive in the fire, while the fourth was badly burnt. All four youths were going to Himachal Pradesh to take the exam.

The incident is reported to have happened around 11 pm on Monday night. According to the police, Ashish of village Manjpura in Jhajjar and his 3 friends were going to Himachal Pradesh to take the exam in a Swift car.

At around 11 pm, their car collided with the rear of a truck near village Murtazapur on NH 152D, due to which their car caught fire. After receiving the information, fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and controlled the fire.

Three people in the car were burnt due to the fire and Ashish was badly burnt. The injured youth has been admitted to Metro Hospital. The truck driver has fled from the spot.

Police took the bodies in custody

According to the police, Ashish is not in a condition to give a statement right now. Ashish is undergoing treatment in a private hospital. It is being told that the three youths are from different places. Police has taken the bodies of all three in custody and sent them for postmortem. The three have not been identified yet. Police is investigating the matter.

Truck driver absconded from the spot

Investigating officer ASI Satish Kumar said that the police is investigating the matter. After the accident, the truck driver absconded from the spot. The condition of the youth injured in the accident is still not good. The youth’s family is being contacted.
