Chandigarh: The Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is investigating the drug smuggling case worth crores of rupees, has issued summons again to Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia.
He will be questioned in Patiala on July 18 at 10 am. At the same time, Akali Dal spokesperson Advocate Arshdeep Singh Kaler said that what does the government want to prove in this politically motivated case.
The government is not able to provide evidence in the court. He has questioned the CM that in such a situation, why is he politicizing the bureaucracy.
He said that the CM should himself conduct the inquiry by becoming the head of the SIT. The matter should be settled by sitting face to face, why is the government’s money and time being wasted.
