Mining inspector caught taking 1.5 lakh rupees in Jind

Jind: In Jind, Haryana, the team of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Ambala caught Inspector Mohit of the Mining Department red-handed while taking a bribe of 1.5 lakh rupees. It is alleged that the mining inspector demanded a bribe by threatening to close the brick kiln near Mohangarh-Chapra village. The ACB team is questioning him.

The government spokesperson said that Rajesh of Chhattar village had made a complaint to the Anti-Corruption Bureau team and told them that he stocks soil at the brick kiln. When he brought soil from outside, Mining Inspector Mohit threatened to take action. He demanded a bribe of 1.5 lakh rupees instead of not taking any action. After investigating the facts of Rajesh’s complaint, the Anti-Corruption Bureau team made a plan to catch the accused.

Inspector Mohit was called to the brick kiln to give the bribe amount. When Mining Inspector Mohit started leaving with the bribe amount, he was caught by the ACB team. When his hands were washed, the color of his hands turned red.

The ACB has registered a case against him and started an investigation. The spokesperson of the Bureau appealed to the general public and said that if any officer or employee demands a bribe in exchange for doing government work, then immediately inform them about it on the toll-free number of the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau: 1800-180-2022 and 1064.
