ESI arrests in Rewari for taking bribe, ACB team caught red-handed at Bawal police station

It is alleged that Veer Singh demanded a bribe of six thousand rupees from Mohan Lal in the name of taking action in the case.

Rewari: ESI Veer Singh, posted in the Bawal police station of Rewari district in Haryana, was arrested red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) team on Saturday while taking a bribe of six thousand rupees. The accused had demanded this bribe amount in a suicide case. After this, the victim informed the ACB.

On June 25, Mohan Lal’s daughter Bina (23), a resident of the Bharatpur district of Rajasthan, committed suicide by hanging herself in a rented room on Pranpura Road in Bawal. Bina went missing from home on June 13. Her missing case was registered at the Bharatpur police station.

An investigation conducted by the police revealed that a boy had brought Bina with him to Bawal. He had rented a room for Bina. A complaint has been lodged by Bina’s father, Mohan Lal, on behalf of the police in this case. The case was being investigated by ESI Veer Singh, posted at Bawal police station.

It is alleged that Veer Singh demanded a bribe of six thousand rupees from Mohan Lal in the name of taking action in the case. The date for giving the bribe amount was fixed as July 13th. But before that, Mohan Lal informed the ACB. The ACB team prepared a complete plan to catch the accused, ESI Veer Singh, and sent Mohan Lal after giving him the amount of 6 thousand rupees.

On Saturday, as soon as Mohan Lal handed over 6 thousand rupees to policeman Veer Singh, the already active ACB team caught him red-handed. The ACB team brought the accused policeman to the office in Rewari. A case has been registered against him, and further action is being taken.
