The minibus carrying 16 passengers buried landslide in Vietnam’s northern province of Ha Giang. In this incident at least 11 people has been killed and four others got injured . The minibus carrying 16 people was trapped by a landslide on a road in Bac Me district.
Rescue teams including soldiers and citizens Ha Giang province had found 11 people dead and four injured. In between the Local authorities said the exact number of people in the mini bus was not known and aftermath of the heavy rains was complicating search and rescue operation.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh instructed local authorities and related government agencies to promptly deal with the disaster. According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, rainfall in the area where the accident happened early Saturday morning was recorded at 280-290 mm from 7 p.m. on Friday until 7 a.m. on Saturday.
Natural disasters in Vietnam left 68 people dead or missing and injured 56 others in the first six months of this year, said the General Statistics Office.
