A fault occurred when an attempt was made to steal a running supply.

Rohtak: A case of cable theft of a 33 kV feeder of the electricity department came to light in Sampla, Rohtak, between 1.30 and 2 p.m. on Sunday. When an attempt was made to cut the running supply cable, a fault occurred, and the electricity corporation got information about it. Due to the fault, the power supply of the entire Sampla city, Naya Bans village, Linepar, and industrial area remained disrupted for about 6 hours.

When this was found out, the corporation team reached the spot and started fixing the fault.

Sampla sub-division SDO Jogendra Mor complained to the Sampla police station. It was told that a case of theft of an electricity cable came to light between 1.30 and 2 p.m. on the night of July 14. At around 1:50 pm, Sampla staff received the news of the breakdown of the 33 kV Sampla feeder from the 132 kV Asanda Power House. After this, it was found that about 15 meters of 33 kV cable had been stolen by thieves on Delhi-Rohtak Road near Parshuram Bhawan.

On receiving information about this, SDO Jogendra Mor reached the spot and investigated. 15 meters of cable were stolen from here. An attempt was made to cut the cable of a live 33 kV line with a blade. Due to this, there was a fault in the line, and the line broke down. Due to this, the supply of the entire Sampla, Naya Bans, and Linepaar remained disrupted. At the same time, the person who stole it may also get burned due to the fault. Strict action should be taken by registering an FIR against the accused thief.

The Electricity Corporation has passed five cables under the Delhi Rohtak Highway at the Sampla feeder. Out of which, supply remains on in three cables. At the same time, two lines are kept in reserve for emergencies. The accused thief tried to cut this cable. The first cable was cut, and there was no power supply from it. But when the second cable was cut, there was a supply from it. Therefore, due to the fault, the blades also broke, which were found broken at the spot. It is also believed that the accused might have also received an electric shock.
