4 murder accused arrests in Bathinda

The main conspirator, a woman also arrested, had killed a truck driver with axes.

Bathinda: In Punjab’s Bathinda district, on the evening of July 7, near the truck union of Maud Mandi, the police arrested four accused, including three youths within a week, who brutally murdered truck driver Jaspal Singh, alias Athanni, with swords and axes.

Among the arrested accused, the main conspirator of this murder is also a woman. While the two accused in this case are still absconding, the police are making efforts to arrest them.

SSP Deepak Parik said that CIA 1 and 2 and police teams of Maud police station were formed under the leadership of SP D Ajay Gandhi and DSP Maud Rahul Bhardwaj to arrest the accused involved in this murder. All of them were working on different aspects and were searching for the accused. Recently, based on information, the police team of CIA Staff One arrested the accused, Harpreet Singh and Jaspreet Singh, from the Bathinda-Barnala National Highway, along with the Honda City car used in the crime.

The SSP said that both the arrested accused were trying to escape from the district. The police team had already arrested them. Not only this, but on the day of the crime, their third accomplice and the accused, Harjeet Singh, alias Enki, who helped these two accused escape from the crime scene, was also arrested by the police. According to the SSP, the accused, Harjeet Singh, was standing at the crime scene after starting the car, and after committing the crime, he made them sit in the car and fled from the spot.
