A youth has died due to drug overdose in Ghuman. Manpreet Singh, brother of deceased Prabhajit Singh (35), resident of village Ladha Munda, said that his brother was addicted to drugs for the last 6 months.
He said that his brother had left the house around half past one in the afternoon. Meanwhile, someone called and informed him that his brother Prabhajit Singh was lying unconscious near the house. When he reached the spot with his family, the brother was lying on the ground and a syringe was also there nearby.
The unconscious brother was taken to the doctor but the doctor declared his brother brought dead. Prabhjit Singh died due to drug overdose.
Ghuman police station SHO Sukhraj Singh said that the family members and the people of the village have not informed the police in this regard. But now this matter has come to the attention of the police and appropriate action will be taken in this regard.
