Troubles are not getting less for the Khedkar family as Manorama, mother of trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar, who is embroiled in controversies over UPSC selection, has been arrested by Pune Rural Police from Nahad in Hingoli district. Manorama Khedkar is accused of threatening farmers by showing a pistol.
A video of Manorama Khedkar went viral, in which she was seen threatening farmers with a pistol. The incident took place in Dhadavali village of Mulshi taluka in Pune, where Pooja’s father Dilip Khedkar had bought land.
After the video went viral, a case was registered at Paud police station on July 13 against 7 people including Pooja’s mother Manorama and father Dilip. Police said that Arms Act charges have also been included in the FIR.
After the case was registered, Pooja’s parents absconded. Police had said on July 15 that both of them had also switched off their phones.
