4 pistols recovered from Tarn Taran border; Pakistan smuggling through drones

This recovery has been made in a joint operation of the Border Security Force.

Tarn Taran: Large-scale arms smuggling continues in Punjab. Desi pistols are continuously reaching Punjab from Madhya Pradesh, while imported pistols from Pakistan are continuously being sent through drones.

In four days, the police have succeeded in catching the fifth consignment of weapons. This recovery has been made in a joint operation of the Border Security Force.

According to the information received, this consignment of weapons has been recovered from the Tarn Taran border. After the information, Punjab Police and Border Security Force (BSF) started a joint operation. After a search in the border village of Kalasian Khurd in Tarn Taran, the police have recovered 4 imported pistols 7.62 and 50 live cartridges. After the recovery, an FIR has been registered at Khalda police station in Tarn Taran.

In the last four days, Punjab Police has made 5 major recoveries. On July 17, Amritsar Rural Police caught 5 pistols, 7 kg heroin and two smugglers. This consignment was also sent from Pakistan to India. On July 16, SSOC Amritsar arrested three arms smugglers with 3 desi pistols.

On July 15, the SSOC arrested two members of the gang being run with the help of Lakhbir Landa from Amritsar railway station and recovered 6 pistols. Earlier on July 14, Jalandhar police arrested 5 members of Lakhbir Landa with 3 pistols.
