Gold worth 37.5 lakhs recovers in Fatehgarh Sahib

There was a theft in the house of a big industrialist, and the person who knew about it committed the crime. 

Fatehgarh: Fatehgarh Sahib Police has recovered gold jewellery worth about Rs 37.5 lakh. This gold was stolen a few months ago from the house of a big industrialist in Mandi, Gobindgarh, Asia’s largest iron city. The police refused to reveal the name of this industrialist. An accused has been arrested in this case. He has been identified as Narinder Kumar, alias Nikhil Kashyap, a resident of Subhash Nagar, Mandi Gobindgarh.

SP (I) Rakesh Yadav said that a case of theft was registered at the Mandi Gobindgarh police station on July 14, 2024. The investigation into this case was handled by CIA staff. CIA in-charge Narpinder Pal Singh’s team arrested Narinder Kumar in this case. About 50 tolas of gold jewellery have been recovered on the information of Narinder. An investigation revealed that Narinder Kumar was an insider in the industrialist’s house.

The accused was an acquaintance of the industrialist and often visited his house. Due to this, he had a lot of information about the industrialist. Taking advantage of this information, the accused committed the theft and fled. A case of theft is already registered against the accused.
