Sonipat: Taking action in the illegal mining case, the Enforcement Directorate has arrested Congress MLA Surendra Panwar here from Sonipat. He has been arrested in the case of illegal mining in Yamunanagar area. As per reports, the arrest was made last night on Friday. His son is also been taken into custody by a probe agency.
According to ED, this case is related to money laundering of 400 to 500 crores. As per ED black money was earned from illegal mining in the Yamunanagar area. ED will present Surendra Panwar in Ambala court and take him on remand
Earlier on January 4, ED team raided the hideouts of Congress MLA Surendra Panwar from Sonipat, Dilbagh Singh and his associates. This raid was conducted at more than 20 locations. After the raid, ED officials took some important documents with them from MLA Surendra Panwar’s residence and office.
