In joint opeartion Fazilka and Rajasthan Police conducted search operation

50 thousand liters of lahan were found buried in the ground and destroyed on the spot. 

Fazilka: Today, District Fazilka and Rajasthan Police conducted a joint search operation in the Gang Canal and its surrounding areas adjacent to the Rajasthan and Punjab border. During the search, about 50 thousand litres of lahan were recovered from where the smugglers had buried it in the ground. The police took out this lahan and destroyed it on the spot.

According to the information, under the orders of Fazilka SSP Dr Pragya Jain and the leadership of DSP Arun Mundan, in-charge of Khuiyan Sarwar police station Raman Kumar and his team, along with Rajasthan Police, conducted a search operation on the information of illegal extraction of liquor in the Gang Canal and its adjoining area.

Where raw liquor was found in iron drums in deep pits on the banks of the Gang Canal and along the road, the police took out about 50 thousand litres of liquor buried in the ground and destroyed it in the presence of the excise inspector. Inspector Raman Kumar said that strict action will be taken against those who smuggle and extract liquor, and this search operation will continue in the coming days with the cooperation of the Rajasthan Police.
