A soldier was injured in the encounter. The injured soldier has been shot, and has been admitted to the hospital. A civilian is also reported to be injured. The injured civilian is said to be a relative of Shaurya Chakra winner Purushottam Kumar Sharma.
Immediately after the incident, more security forces have been sent to the spot. A search operation has been started to locate the hidden terrorists.

Army officials said that terrorists opened fire on a temporary security camp built in a school in Jaddan Bata village of Kastigarh area late Wednesday night. Two soldiers were injured in this.
