Amritsar: A fatal accident took place early this morning today on Jandiala Guru GT Road in Amritsar. In the accident when two youths were going from Amritsar towards Jalandhar on a motorcycle. In an accident, a bike collided with the tractor trolley leaving the bike rider dead.
The pillion rider was seriously injured in this accident and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Police officers reached the spot started an investigation and took the body into custody. While talking to the media there, the victim youth said that his name is Gurpreet Singh and he is a Resident of Tarn Taran.
He added that they were going from Amritsar to Jalandhar and while overtaking a tractor-trolley, they lost control and bike collided with it. His friend, Shamsher Singh who was driving the bike died on the spot.
Police officials who reached the spot said that these people were residents of Sandhwan Bet village of Tarn Taran. Police further added that they caught the tractor-trolley driver on the spot. They assured that whatever action is necessary will be taken by them.
