Amritsar: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Badal on Wednesday reached Sri Akal Takht Sahib located in the premises of the Golden Temple. Here he submitted a reply in a sealed envelope to Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh of Sri Akal Takht Sahib on the allegations made by the rebel faction of the Akali Dal. He stayed inside for about 12 minutes.
After this, he came out and sat straight in the car. He did not talk to the media. At the same time, Jathedar Raghbir Singh said in a conversation with the media that the clarification submitted by Sukhbir Badal will be opened and read in the meeting of 5 Singh Sahibans.
Apart from this, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has also submitted its clarification to the Jathedar.
The rebel faction led by senior Akali Dal leader Prem Singh Chandumajra reached Sri Akal Takht Sahib on July 1 where they submitted an apology to Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
In this apology, the rebel group apologized for supporting the mistakes made during the tenure of the Akali Dal and alleged that Sukhbir Badal misused his influence and powers while enjoying power. This also includes forgiving Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim.
In the meeting of the Jathedars of the five Takhts called at Sri Akal Takht Sahib on July 15, Sukhbir Badal was issued a summons to appear within 15 days.
Just yesterday, he had dissolved the core committee of the Akali Dal. In which the leaders of the rebel group are also included.
