Shimla: The wait for JOA-IT postcode 817 candidates, who have been demanding results for a long time in Himachal Pradesh, is going to end soon. Talking to the media in Shimla, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the government has decided to declare their results. Their documentation has been completed. The State Selection Commission will be instructed to declare their results soon.

The Chief Minister said that whether they sit on strike or not, their results are sure to be declared. Let us tell you that the candidates of the JOA-IT 817 postcode have been on a continuous hunger strike for six days outside the State Selection Commission office in Pakka Bharo, Hamirpur, demanding early results. They say that they will not end their hunger strike until their results are declared.

On the other hand, the Chief Administrator of the Commission, Dr RK Puruthi, has already said that the result is being prepared. There is an ongoing investigation to ensure that there is no shortcoming in its technical aspect, and it will be declared within a week.

Let us tell you that the candidates of the JOA-IT 817 postcode have been waiting for the result for four years. Their 1867 posts were advertised in the year 2020. Their matter went to the High Court and Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has also ordered the Himachal government to declare the result soon.

Approval has also been given to declare the result in the cabinet meeting last week.

1.70 lakh candidates appeared in this examination. Out of these, 19 thousand children passed this exam, while about 5600 children passed the typing test. These children have met the CM and ministers on many occasions, demanding the result. Now the CM has assured to declare their result soon.
