Amritsar: Vigilant Border Security Force troops recovered a Pakistani drone along with the drugs in the border area of Amritsar. The drone recovered by BSF is China-made and the narcotics recovered is suspected to be Heroin.

Yesterday, on 29th July 2024, based on reliable information about the presence of a drone along with narcotics in the border area of Amritsar district, BSF troops promptly launched a search operation in the suspected area.

During the search operation, at around 11:50 am, BSF troops successfully recovered 01 drone along with 01 packet of suspected heroin (Gross weight- 630 Grams). The narcotics were wrapped in yellow adhesive tape and an improvised metal ring along with 01 luminous strip was found attached with the packet.

This recovery occurred in a farming field adjacent to Village Majhmian in Amritsar District. The recovered drone has been identified as a DJI MAVIC 3 Classic, manufactured in China.

A reliable information and prompt action by the BSF troops resulted in this significant recovery of narcotics along with drone, highlighting the true spirit of commitment of BSF towards its objective to make Punjab a drug free state.
