13-year-old boy fell into main hole of drain in Sonipat

He had gone out to play with his friends; NDRF entered the sewer; no clue at the moment.

Sonipat: A big accident happened on Murthal Road in Sonipat, Haryana, on Tuesday. Here, due to the negligence of the Municipal Corporation, the life of a 13-year-old student is in danger. Due to the sewerage being open in drain number 6, the student suddenly fell into it. Since then, he is being searched. At the moment, no trace of him has been found.

The NDRF teams are also looking for the student by entering the sewer. At the same time, the administration staff has reached the spot. Meanwhile, the Municipal Corporation Commissioner has said that major action will be taken against the responsible contractor.

Raju, the father of Vivek, the child who fell into the drain, said that his son was going towards Murthal Adda Chowk by passing through the cemented drain. He suddenly fell from the open main hall and drowned in the water. During this time, when his younger son told him, he reached the spot and went down into the drain himself and tried to find the 13-year-old child Vivek, but he was not successful.

The father said that if the open main hall had a lid, he could have avoided the fall. Divers and fire brigade employees have been called on the spot. A few days ago, drain number 6 was cemented through the Municipal Corporation. After which the lid of this sewerage was not installed.
