Chandigarh: The CIA team of Mohali Police has arrested two notorious gangsters. Both gangsters were planning to commit crime in Punjab. CIA staff have arrested the both the accused from Kharar district Mohali, Both were hiding there. .
Police have recovered 90 live cartridges from the possession of notorious gangsters. The arrested accused have been identified as Maninder Singh alias Bobby, a resident of Jalandhar, and Mohit Kumar, a resident of Sultanpur Lodhi. Both of them were in contact with a abroad-based gangster Harjeet Singh Pandal. Harjeet Pandal is a associate of the Gopi Nawanshahri gang.
They had to carry out an attack on rival gang member in the area of Jalandhar-Kapurthala. Some person had supplied weapons to Maninder. Maninder had hidden these weapons in his friend Mohit’s room in Kharar. From here, they sent two weapons to Amritsar to hide them. But both the weapons have been caught by the Amritsar police. Mohali police are gathering information about these weapons from Amritsar police.
Police officials said that Both arrested notorious gangsters are history sheeters and involved in extortion, assault, and murder etc. cases. Both of them commit crimes on the orders of gangsters living in abroad. Near about nine criminal cases have registered against Maninder Singh, alias Bobby. While many cases are being reported against Mohit Kumar.
