Amritsar: The body of a youth was found in the canal of Sangatpura village in Amritsar this afternoon. The youth was missing from home for 4 days and had gone with his friends. The youth’s family alleges that his friends have killed him. At present, the police are investigating the matter.

The body of Prabhdeep Singh, a resident of Jangla village near Aliwal on Fatehgarh Churian Road, was found in the Sangatpura canal this afternoon. 23-year-old Prabhdeep Singh had been missing from home since the night of July 31 and had gone with his friends.

The mother of the deceased Prabhdeep Singh said that on the night of July 31, his friends Basu and Kuldeep called him from home and took him away. After which he was missing. She also complained to the police station, but no information was received about her son. According to Prabhjeet’s mother, the person who took him away had sent a video on the phone yesterday and said that Prabhdeep Singh should be searched near the canal and he would be found there. The relatives who reached the spot demanded that the accused be caught as soon as possible so that their innocent son could get justice.

Police officer Manjeet Singh, who reached the spot, said that he had received information that the body of a youth named Prabhdeep Singh had been found. He has filed a missing person report in Aliwal, and action will be taken in this regard there.
