SSOC Amritsar bust cross-border smuggling module, one held with pistols and magazines

The accused has been in contact with a Pakistan-based smuggler, who was pushing huge consignments of weapons and drugs into Indian territory through drones and other means.

Amritsar: Ahead of Independence Day, Punjab Police has achieved big success. Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav divulged preliminary information that SSOC Amritsar has busted a cross-border smuggling module. The information was shared by him in a post on X.

 In an intelligence-based operation, the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) Amritsar, busted a cross-border smuggling module. SSOC apprehended drug smuggler Rajwant Singh alias Raju.

The accused has been in contact with a Pakistan-based smuggler, who was pushing huge consignments of weapons and drugs into Indian territory through drones and other means.

FIR has been registered at PS SSOC, Amritsar. Further investigations are underway to determine the previous smuggling activities carried out by the accused. In the operation carried out Police recovered 2 Glock pistols along with 2 magazines.
