According to police investigating officer Pawan Kumar, Bir Singh, a resident of village Aurangabad, has complained that on 25 June 2023, he married his daughter Rekha to Tarun, a resident of Krishna Colony, Palwal. The in-laws were not satisfied with the dowry given in the marriage and started demanding a car in the dowry. When the demand was not met, her daughter Rekha was beaten up by her husband Tarun, mother-in-law Sundarvati, and sister-in-law Khushboo.
On receiving the information, he reached his daughter’s in-laws’ house with his son Hansraj, when the accused Tarun started beating them with an iron rod. He kept quiet to settle his daughter’s marriage. The accused also beat his daughter in front of him. He rescued his daughter and admitted her to the hospital.
The police have registered a case based on the complaint and started action. The police say that raids are being conducted to arrest the accused.
