Jagraon: On Tuesday morning, in Jagraon of Ludhiana district, a van of a famous private school of the city, which was bringing children from home to school, collided with a tree. In the tragic incident, one child died on the spot, while many children who were in the bus got injured. The deceased child is said to be a resident of village Akhada.
According to the information, on Tuesday morning, the school van carrying school children from village Akhada and other villages on Raikot Road was moving at such a high speed that after hitting the tree, the entire van was shattered. 3 children were seriously injured in the accident and were admitted to the hospital where they are undergoing treatment.
As soon as the information about the accident was received, the relatives of the children from the villages reached the spot and took their children away. As per initial information, driver was driving the bus at high speed after which it rammed into the tree.
As soon as the information of the accident was received, the police reached the spot and started clearing the traffic.
