Hoshiarpur: Punjab, Hoshiarpur Police has busted a gang of thieves and arrested four members. Five stolen bikes have been recovered from them. At present, police is interrogating the accused.
DSP Narendra Kumar Minhas said that two days ago, Bullowal police station SHO Amandeep Kumar and in-charge of Nasrala outpost Maninder Singh stopped a bike during a blockade at Mandiala Chowk and searched it. When the documents were checked at the check post and the three bike riders were questioned, it was found that the bike was stolen.
At the same time, police arrested the bike ridden three accused Sikander Singh resident of village Nangal Wahid, Kulveer Singh resident of Taddefateh Singh and Mandeep Kumar resident of village Jalpe (Adampur) and produced them in the court and obtained police remand. During police remand, all the three accused took the name of Surjeet alias Karan resident of Giganowal who was a part of their gang, he was also arrested.
The DSP said that all the four arrested accused confessed during remand that their gang steal and sell the bikes. The stolen the bikes from Civil Hospital Hoshiarpur, outside Sonalika, State Bank of India Bullowal and surrounding areas.
