Gurugram Police had filed an untraced report in the court in the 2008 case.

Chandigarh: A team of Gurugram Police has reached Chandigarh to question the serial rapist and killer. The team has contacted Chandigarh Police. They have come to inquire about the rape and murder of a minor girl in Gurugram Sector 37 in 2008.

Chandigarh Police recently arrested serial rapist and killer Monu Kumar, who is a taxi driver by profession. He often used to go to Himachal, Delhi, and Gurgaon. Gurgaon Police suspects that Monu Kumar has committed this crime with this girl from Gurgaon.

According to information received from police sources, accused Monu raped and murdered a 22-year-old MBA student in Sector 38, Chandigarh, in 2010.

When the police could not catch him, in 2022 he targeted a 40-year-old woman in Maloya.

The method that was revealed in the police interrogation was the same method that was shown in the rape and murder of an 8-year-old minor in Gurgaon. Gurgaon Police now wants to match the DNA of the accused with the DNA found on the girl with the help of Chandigarh Police so that this case can be solved.

Gurgaon Police had filed an untraced report in the court in the 2008 case. But after knowing the story of this serial rapist arrested by Chandigarh Police, the police reopened the 2008 case and started investigating that case.

In the Gurgaon incident, the minor girl had left her house at 6:00 pm. But when she did not reach home long enough, her parents started looking for her. During the search, the body of this minor was found in a semi-naked state in an empty plot nearby. At that time, Gurgaon Police had registered a case in this matter under Sections 302 and 376 of the IPC.
