Rohtak: Roof collapses at MDU hostel, one student injures; admitted to PGI for treatment

The District President of INSO said that students are suffering from the mismanagement of the college staff.

Rohtak: The roof of the Law Department of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) located in Rohtak collapsed on Thursday. Due to this, a student from Karnal, a law department student, was injured. He has been admitted to Rohtak PGI for treatment. The injured student has been identified as 19-year-old Himanshu, a resident of Gharaunda, Karnal. The victim student was a student of the Law Department of MDU.

According to the information received, Himanshu went to MDU’s hostel’s roof with his friends on Thursday. During the rain, the roof of the hostel has been collapsed. One student (Himanshu) also fell in this incident and got injured. Himanshu has suffered a serious injury in his leg, due to which he has been admitted to the Trauma Center of Rohtak PGI for treatment.

District President of the student organization Indian National Student Organization (INSO) Pradeep said that the lintel of the roof of the MDU hostel broke and fell. Due to this, 3 students got injured, out of which 2 were given first aid. The third one has been admitted to PGI due to serious injuries. He alleged that the students are bearing the brunt of the mismanagement and corruption of MDU. He has also protested many times regarding the problems of the students.
