Gynaecologist Pronita Ahlawat said that the woman had a lot of lack of blood and platelets, due to this she was referred to Delhi.

Faridabad: A big negligence of doctors and staff has come to light again in Badshah Khan Civil Hospital, Faridabad, Haryana. A pregnant woman who came to the hospital was referred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi citing low platelets. The woman did not even get an ambulance. When the family members put the woman in an auto to take her to Delhi, the woman delivered in the auto itself after some time.

The news of the woman’s delivery in an auto-created a stir among the doctors and staff. The woman was hurriedly admitted to the maternity ward. Both the woman and the newborn are safe. However, the doctors of the hospital still do not accept that they had made a mistake by referring the woman to Delhi without seeing her condition. Gynaecologist Pronita Ahlawat said that the woman had a lot of lack of blood and platelets. Due to this, she was referred to Delhi.

According to the information, Chandni (33), wife of Rajkumar, who lives in Bharat Colony in Faridabad, already has 4 children. Now she was to have her fifth child. After labor pains, Chandni was brought to BK Hospital for delivery. On Thursday, the doctors on duty referred Chandni to Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital, saying that she had anaemia and a low platelet count. They could not get an ambulance due to the strike of NHM drivers.

Rajkumar said that Chandni’s condition was continuously deteriorating. When they could not get an ambulance, they booked an autorickshaw to go to Delhi. They made Chandni sit in the auto, and she delivered in the auto itself. After getting the information about Chandni’s delivery, Dr Pronita Ahlawat and the staff posted in the gynaecology ward were in a panic. The staff was immediately sent down, and Chandni and her child were brought safely to the mother and child ward.
