Jind: First electric vehicle charging station opens in Uchana

Drivers traveling on National Highway 352 get relief. 

Jind: The first electric vehicle charging station in Jind district has been set up in the office premises of South Haryana Electricity Corporation in Uchana, Jind district of Haryana. There is news of relief for the residents of Uchana as well as electric vehicle drivers travelling on National Highway 352 that the first electric vehicle charging station of Jind district has been set up in the premises of Uchana South Haryana Electricity Corporation.

Initially, electric vehicle charging stations are being set up outside or on the premises of the electricity department offices so that the power supply in EV charging stations remains 24 hours. Their tenders have not yet been issued for hotels and petrol pumps. As a test, four electric vehicle charging stations will be set up on National Highway 352 from Jind to Narwana. This EV charging station has been installed by Serfi Company and is the first electric vehicle charging station in the Jind district. Before this, there was no electric vehicle charging station in Jind district.

A tender has been issued to build four charging stations on National Highway 352. Out of which the first charging station has been installed in the premises of the electricity department of Uchana. The charging station will be started for the people in 2 to 3 days. However, the connection has been given to the electric vehicle charging station by the electricity department. Darshan Singh JE of Uchana Electricity Department said that the connection of ECS has been given by the electricity department and it has been installed by Serfi Company. This connection was started by the electricity department yesterday. When the service will start for the rest of the vehicles is the responsibility of the company.
