Rohtak: In Rohtak, the employees working in the health department under the National Health Mission (NHM) protested and got their heads shaved as a protest. NHM employees have been continuously protesting for their demands, including permanent jobs. Therefore, it was decided to get their heads shaved publicly on Monday. It was also said that if their demands are not met, then women will also get their heads shaved. However, only men have got their heads shaved right now. They have donated hair to get permanent jobs. They said that they would beg in public places on August 13 as a protest.
For the last 18 days they have been on strike to get their demands Dr. Ankit Phogat, District President of the NHM Employees Union says. Before this protest, NHM employees had talked with the government, but no positive outcome came. Therefore, they have decided to get their heads shaved in the entire state. At present, men have got their heads shaved. If the demand is not met, then women will also get their heads shaved. Health services are affected due to the strike. Therefore, the government should fulfil their demands as soon as possible.
Dr. Ankit Phogat said that he has only one demand: that all the employees should be regularized. The government should not try to confuse them with irrelevant things. The government is working to snatch the bylaws given in 2018. It was said to give double salary during the Corona period, but the employees worked on their single salary. They were honoured for the Corona work, but now their demands are not being accepted.
He said that there are more than 18 thousand NHM employees in the state. If the government does not accept their demands, then we will teach them a lesson in the upcoming assembly elections. On the other hand, if the government fulfils the demands, then we will work to make the BJP win again. At the same time, we will continue the movement regarding the demands.
