Patiala: The engine (loco) fell on the employee after the lifting tackle broke in the loco assembly shop of Patiala. The employee died after being crushed under the heavy engine. After the incident, Rajneesh Dubey, who was crushed under the engine, died while being taken to a big private hospital in Patiala.
After the death of the employee, all the employees held a condolence meeting raised slogans against the railway administration and demanded that high-level security arrangements be made in the workshop.
The members of the Union Council said that the management has been constantly informed in writing about the safety arrangements inside the workshop.
However the management did not show seriousness, and due to this negligence, this accident happened. This accident happened due to continuous violation of the Factory Act, and an employee lost his life. Here the employees’ union has continuously placed its demands with the management regarding safety arrangements.
