Chandigarh: The monsoon session of the Punjab Assembly is likely to be held in the first week of September. This proposal can be approved in the cabinet meeting to be held today on Wednesday. Because the monsoon session is necessary before 11 September. About 27 agendas are to be brought in the meeting.
The early release of 10 prisoners serving life sentence can be approved in the meeting. The meeting will begin at 10 am under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Mann. The agenda to create three posts of Tehsildars in the Water Resources Department and to make the Raj Executive Committee a competent authority to issue relief from the state budget in case of crop failure will also come up in the meeting.
