Mohali: In the case of having physical relations with a girl by telling her that he is single and promising marriage, Kharar police station of Mohali has arrested the accused, Harjinder Singh, a resident of village Mianpur Changar. The police registered a case against the accused under criminal sections and presented him in court. From where he has been sent on a 2-day police remand.
In the complaint given to the police, the victim girl said that she had met Harjinder two years ago. Harjinder grew closer by telling her that he was single and also gifted her an iPhone and a gold chain. She would ask him to marry her, but he kept on evading. On May 3, the accused took her for a drive in the car and, on the way, gave her intoxicants in a cold drink.
After this, he took her to a hotel located in Phase-1 of Mohali, where he had physical relations. His wife called him at the hotel. Then it was revealed that the accused was already married. After this, both of them fought, and the accused left her at home at night. The next day, when she felt unwell, he asked her to take medicine.
Later, the accused distributed the victim’s mobile number among his friends, who started threatening her. The accused said that he has connections with two Punjabi singers. She got scared of the threats and complained to the police. After this, the police investigated the case, and after investigating, the police arrested the accused based on facts.
