CIA in-charge Jarnail Singh said that ASI Kewal Singh was patrolling the villages with the police team. During this time, 2 youths were seen coming on a Splendor bike from the side of village Kot Gobindpur. They got scared after seeing the police team and started turning back. Then their motorcycle slipped, and they fell. The police immediately chased and caught both of them.

During interrogation, they told their names as Sunny resident of village Khojewal and Sapaiya alias Rehman resident of Dera Kot Karar Khan near Samadh Sabar Koti Kapurthala. When the police team searched them, 100 grams of heroin were recovered from their possession. A case has been registered against both the drug smugglers under the NDPS Act in the Sadar police station. Both the accused are being interrogated.
